Indian Air Force (IAF) has released the notification for the Indian Air Force Agniveer Vayu Recruitment 2025 Online Application on the official website for eligible unmarried male and female candidates for the selection test under ‘AGNIPATH SCHEME’. This gives an excellent opportunity for the nation’s youth to experience the military way of life for four years. 

The online Application Form for the Indian Air Force Agniveer Vayu Recruitment 2025 started at 1100 Hrs. on 7 January 2025 and will close at 2300 Hrs. on 27 January 2025. Essential Qualifications Indian Air Force Agniveer Vayu Recruitment 2025:

Educational Qualifications:

• Science Subjects:

  • Passed 12th or Equivalent (Mathematics, Physics, and English) with minimum of 50% average marks and 50% marks in English.

OR 

• Passed Diploma in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Automobile/ Computer Science/ Instrumentation Technology / Information Technology Engineering with 50% average marks.

OR 

• Passed Two years Vocational Course with non-vocational subject viz. Physics and Mathematics with 50% average marks.

 

• Other than Science Subjects:

  • Passed 12th or Equivalent in any stream/subjects with minimum of 50% average marks and 50% marks in English.
  • Passed two years Vocational Course with minimum 50% average marks and 50% marks in English in Vocational Course.

Physical Qualifications:

• Minimum age: Born Before 1 July 2025
• Maximum age: Born After 1 January 2025

Fees:

Examination fee of ₹550/- plus GST for all the candidate is to be paid online while registering for online application.

The Indian Air Force (IAF) recruits through the Agniveer program for technical and non-technical trades, such as Airmen (Group X and Group Y) and Commissioned Officers. 

Mode of selection:

The selection process will include the following 4 Phases 

1. Phase I: Online Test

• Science Subjects: Total duration of the online test shall be 60 minutes and shall comprise of Physics, Mathematics and English (10+2 CBSE syllabus).
• Other than Science Subjects: Total duration of the online test shall be 45 minutes and shall comprise of English (10+2 CBSE syllabus) and Reasoning & General Awareness (RAGA).
• Science Subjects & Other than Science Subjects: Total duration of the online test shall be 85 minutes comprise of Physics, Mathematics and English (10+2 CBSE syllabus) and Reasoning & General Awareness (RAGA).

2. Phase II: Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and Adaptability Test

The only candidates who qualify the online test shall be called for the Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and Adaptability Test. PFT is consist of two parts such as PFT-I and PFT-II

• Adaptability Test I: All candidates who have cleared the Physical Fitness Test (PFT) will have to take the Aptitude Test-I (objective type written test) to assess the candidate’s suitability for employment in the IAF, which involves deployment in various geographical terrains, climates, and operational conditions.

• Adaptability Test II: All candidates who have cleared the Adaptability Test-I will undergo Adaptability Test-II as per current policy. Adaptability Test-II is for the selection of candidates who can adapt to the Indian Air Force’s environment and military way of life.

3. Phase III: Medical Examination

Candidates who qualify for Adaptability Test-II shall be issued a medical examination appointment letter by respective ASCs. The medical examination shall be conducted by the Air Force Medical Team as per IAF medical standards and policy in vogue on the subject issue.
