Essential Qualification for BHEL Recruitment 2025:
Educational Qualifications:
- Engineer Trainee: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (B.E./B.Tech.) in related trade.
- Supervisor Trainee: Engineering Diploma in related trade with minimum 65% marks (60% For SC/ST candidates)
Age Limit:
As of 1 February 2025
- Maximum Age: 27 years
- Age relaxation:
- OBC- 3 Years,
- SC/ST- 5 Years

Mode of Selection for BHEL Recruitment 2025:
There are 2 steps in the selection process for the post Engineer Trainee and Supervisor Trainee
Step 1: Computer Based Examination (CBE)
All the eligible candidates who are provisionally accepted will have to appear for the Computer Based Examination (CBE). CBE will be of 100 marks.
Step 2: For Engineer Trainee
Candidates are shortlisted for the Interview in order of performance of candidates in CBE in the ratio 1:5 (i.e. 5 times) to the numbers of vacancies in each discipline and category wise. Here each candidate has to go through personal Interview.
The Final Merit List will be prepare based on the performance of the candidates in both CBE and Interview with weightage of 75% for CBE and 25% for Interview.
Step 3: For Supervisor Trainee
Candidates are shortlisted for the Document Verification in order of performance of candidates in CBE in the ratio 1:3 (i.e. 3 times) to the numbers of vacancies in each discipline and category wise.
The Final Merit List will be prepare based on the performance of the candidates marks in CBE and the candidates who pass the Document Verification.
